LAPD Hit With $2.5 Million Sexual Harassment and Retaliation Verdict

On July 29, 2022, a Los Angeles Superior Court Jury returned a verdict in favor of a firm client, a female LAPD officer assigned to the Hollywood Division. The 12-person jury found the LAPD liable for both sexual harassment and workplace retaliation and awarded our client $2.5 million in damages. The jury found that our client experienced extreme emotional distress, anxiety and embarrassment through trying to endure this toxic work environment. She has every intention of returning to the Hollywood Division to resume her lifelong dream of being a police officer. Chuck Law, Kent Brandmeyer and Kevin Miller proudly represented our client.
